Humanity is at the threshold of a major evolutionary transition that will be signified by a quantum leap in consciousness and a profound transformation in human culture. This vision may appear overly optimistic given the conflict, division, and pain in our world today, but it’s often darkest before the dawn, and humanity is often at its best when things are the worst. For this new reality to manifest, a critical mass of humanity will need to begin to realize our profound unity and begin to cooperate consciously on a scale that we could have only dreamed of previously. In this talk, we’ll reflect on how the recent pandemic has facilitated a shift in global consciousness. We’ll also discuss how modern evolutionary science and the horizontal dimension of social and cultural flourishing can integrate with evolutionary spirituality and the vertical dimension of spiritual transformation and transcendence. We’ll explore how scientific principles for cooperation combined with spiritual principles like Aurobindo’s can lead humanity into an age of Conscious Cultural Evolution in service of a world that works for all.
