Jan Maslow

With her husband Don Salmon, Jan Maslow co-authored a book on Mother and Sri Aurobindo’s integral psycho-spiritual vision, “Yoga Psychology and the Transformation of Consciousness: Seeing Through the Eyes of Infinity.”

Jan has always been interested in exploring ways of fulfilling our human potential for love, joy, creativity, and deep connection with others. She has studied medicine, social work, and organizational psychology at the graduate level. During the 1990’s, she was the Training Coordinator for the Federal Bankruptcy Court in lower Manhattan where her vision was to create a rich learning environment in which staff could grow not only in specific job-related skills, but in their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills as well. She incorporated mindfulness and dialogue practices to help create a more cohesive, collaborative, and effective workplace.

Together with Don, Jan has taught and led classes and workshops applying mindfulness and neuroscience to stress relief, pain relief and overall well-being. More recently, they’ve created an online course, Wake Up to the Best Sleep Ever – to help you learn effortless sleep and effortless mindfulness.
