Welcome to a two-year course in Sanskrit Grammar (based on Georg Buhler’s textbook, edited by Perry). It has 45 lessons and three exams, each after 15 lessons, and the final Exam upon the completion of the course. For those who do not know the Devanagari script, there will be an introductory course in Sanskrit Phonetics and Devanagari, before the actual Grammar Course.
The first semester has 20 weeks:
Part 1 – 5 lessons (10 sessions) and Devanagari 4 sessions before the course;
Part 2 – the next 5 lessons (10 sessions);
Part 3 – the next 5 lessons (10 sessions);
Part 4 – an exam 1 session
We expect from students a commitment to regular study, completing exercises on time, and attending the classrooms online. The students who follow the course regularly will acquire all the necessary knowledge to read the classical texts of Sanskrit Literature with a dictionary, write in Sanskrit, and recite mantras in different styles and meters.
