Sri Aurobindo Integral Yoga Retreat: July 9-13th 2025
Theme: The Yoga of the Future, an adventure of consciousness
Yoga, in its spiritual essence, has been present throughout the ages. However, as humanity evolves, so have the methods and purposes of Yoga. In the past, Yoga guided individuals toward the Spirit beyond with the goal of dissolving the self into it. Over time, it became intertwined with religion, often creating divisions among people.
Now, we are entering an age where the aim of Yoga is to integrate the pursuit of Spirit into everyday life. This new approach seeks to harmonize the inner quest for the soul with the outer activities of life, weaving the spiritual and the material into complementary, rather than opposing, dimensions of existence.
The Yogis and sages of the past often sought to escape earthly life in pursuit of heavenly realms. In contrast, the seekers of the Yoga of the Future – the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother – aspire to bring the riches of the heavens into earthly life. Their vision is to create a “Kingdom of Heaven” on earth—transforming human existence into an era of spiritual self-discovery and realization.
The Yoga of the Future extends an invitation to join this grand adventure of consciousness, uniting the inner and outer worlds in a harmonious journey toward a higher way of being.
